Ultrasound Technician - General
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington.
- Variable hours, no call.
- Shift options include day shifts and up to 3 weeks of night shift.
- Weekend coverage may include up to 4 weekends.
- Must be available for holidays if the unit needs coverage.
- 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts.
Unit / Department
- Based in a pediatric facility.
- Main unit floats to ER and may also float to portables, OR, and ICU.
- The unit includes a full general PEDS and full vascular lab.
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year.
- 0.5 years of Pediatric Ultrasound Technologist experience.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- RDMS-AB
- Experience working with PICU patients.
- Experience working with NICU patients.
- Experience working with Neonate patients.
- Experience in an Inpatient setting.
- Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Critical Care setting.
- Experience with vascular ultrasound.
- Experience with general ultrasound.
- Experience with portable ultrasound.
- Ultrasound Technologist experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient experience.
- Level I Trauma experience.
- Teaching hospital experience.
- Children’s hospital experience.
- EPIC experience.
- Rad Net experience.
- RMDS – peds.
- RVT certification.
Additional Clinical Context
- Common cases include DVTs, post PIC lines, IJs, peripheral vascular studies, ED appendicitis, testicular studies, portables in the ICU, ER patients, and liver/kidney transplant cases.
