Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Melbourne, Florida
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Ratios: 1:5
• Guaranteed hours: contracted hours guaranteed
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, based on unit needs
• On-call: not required
• Float scope: may float from a home base to other units or locations, including Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• First-timers not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic
• 2 references from authority figures within the last year
• Flu vaccine required during flu season, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start
• Fit test within 12 months prior to start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Rubeola titer
• Mumps titer
• Rubella titer
• Hepatitis B titer
• Varicella titer
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Current application/resume dated within 90 days of start
• Competency exam
• AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance must be on file prior to start
