Overview

Travel/Contract role in Dayton, Ohio
13-week contract
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
36 hours per week
Must be available to work at minimum every other holiday
Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday
Unit is trialing team nursing; nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the trial status
Targeted patient ratio is 1:4, with ratios up to 1:5–6
Working with Tele/drips/vents
Patient population includes COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, Flu, Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and Post Covid
Care includes trach, vents, bipaps, high-oxygen requirements, insulin drips, heparin, and Cardizem
No orally intubated patients on the unit
Navy Blue Scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with mechanical ventilation
Experience with titratable drips
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Experience with Epic
Current resume/application
Current Nursys report
Skills checklist within 1 year prior to documentation due date and updated annually
2 references from within 2 years of start, with 1 being a Manager, Supervisor, or Charge RN
Government-issued photo ID
E-Verify

EPLS/GSA/SAM
HHS/OIG
Physical exam within 2 years of start
Negative TB or chest X-ray
Drug screen within 12 months prior to documentation due date
Annual health questionnaire
Candidate agreement
RespSafety clearance within 1 year of start
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 2 years of start
Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years prior to start
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start
Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation is not required for this client
