Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Marys, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Minimum Experience: 1 year
• Shifts: Variable, mostly late and overnight shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Holidays: 1 holiday shift required
• Weekends: No weekends until after December 13th
• No on-call duties
• First-time travelers are welcome
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Required Certifications and Licensure

• ARRT CT (Computed Tomography)
• ARRT R and B (Radiography and Bone Densitometry)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Pennsylvania state license or compact license in hand

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:

  • SS Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex Offender registry
  • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verification)
• PA FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in Pennsylvania)
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years of hire

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (declinations accepted with form)
• Required vaccinations or documented immunity/declinations for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required at this facility)

Additional Certifications (As Applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA, ARC, Military accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) – required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units; online certification accepted
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – same units as MAB; online certification accepted
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for all RNs, annual renewal
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• Medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of vaccine declination forms if applicable

Notes

• No onsite classes available for MAB, CPI, or Comprehensive Crisis Management certifications; online training accepted
• Annual certification required for crisis management-related certifications
• All documentation must be completed and on file prior to start date
