- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications
- Ohio State license required for Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT)
- Approximately 2 years of experience preferred in the specialty
- Two professional supervisory or managerial references required (charge RN acceptable for one; peer references not accepted)
- Floating to other units is required for most positions
Certifications
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RNs (AHA/AAP certification only)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification as applicable
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential required for RRTs
- Other certifications such as ENPC and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course may be required depending on unit
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start (7-year search including all counties lived/worked)
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or equivalent
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 60 days of start, must be updated for each new contract
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Sex offender search within 30 days of start
- State-specific searches including Ohio Nurse Aide Registry, Inmate Registry, Medicaid Exemption, and Abuse Registry within 30 days of start
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 60 days prior to start
- Employment application and copy of resume required
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (candidates sign Infection Control Policy in lieu of physical copy)
- N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually (specific mask models accepted)
- TB testing options: Two PPDs or IGRA (QGOLD/TSPOT) within 12 months; additional requirements if positive
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start (vaccine must be after age 11)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity via positive titer or two vaccines; boosters required if negative or equivocal
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer required; declination accepted only with negative/equivocal titer
- Varicella immunity via positive titer or two vaccines; boosters required if negative or equivocal
- Seasonal flu vaccine required between October 31 and May 31; medical/religious exemptions require facility approval and mask-wearing during flu season
- TB questionnaire and fingerprint screening questions must be completed prior to start

- Current government-issued photo ID required within 24-48 hours of contract signing; temporary IDs not accepted for licensure verification
- Legal name on all documents must match license and certifications exactly (no nicknames)
- Address on driver's license must match address on RRT license for Ohio
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing contract; facility may complete onsite if results pending at start
- Candidates with approved flu vaccine exemptions must wear masks during designated flu season
