Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech
Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Caseload: 8-10 cases per day
Job Description
- Work in the Cath Lab specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
- Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures, including structural cases.
- Must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostic and Intervention.
- EP experience required with pacemaker/defibrillator implants, ablations, pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), and other EP-related procedures.
- No call, no weekends, no holidays.
- Floating within scope may be required but primarily stays in Cath Lab.
- No floating to sister facilities.
- Facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year.
Competencies & Testing
- Must complete annual skills checklist for specialty.
- Color blindness test required prior to start.
- Competency exams required, including medication/pharmacology tests.
- Pass/fail testing (EKG, medication calculation, blood administration) required for nursing candidates only (not applicable here).
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification not required for this role.
- Facility-specific orientation and inservice training modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 4 hours).

- Scrubs provided.
- Charting system: Cerner.
- Free parking for travelers.
- No floating to sister facilities.
- Facility does not recognize RCIS as licensed to work in Cath Lab.
- Orientation is two days (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management training.
- Various facility-specific policies and forms must be reviewed, signed, and returned prior to start (dress code, time and attendance, medical release, vaccination exemption forms, liability forms, etc.).
This position is ideal for experienced Electrophysiology Technologists seeking a stable day-shift travel assignment with no call or weekend requirements in a major teaching hospital setting.
