Pediatrics Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Madera, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 11.5 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a pediatric post-surgical acute care floor.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience, with pediatric experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Compliance & Documentation

• Copy of diploma/transcripts or education verification required (may start pending verification).
• Primary source verification of RN license required.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation guide, confidentiality agreement, medication test study guide, dress and grooming standards, harassment-free workplace policy, IT acceptable use policy, and parking information review.
• Completion of facility-specific forms including non-employee personal information sheet and influenza exemption forms if applicable.
• Completion of competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Respirator clearance form is no longer required as of 12/13/2024 but fit testing remains mandatory.
• Facility allows onsite fit testing if not completed prior to start (cost billed to agency).
• If employed longer than one year, updated fit test and TB test required every 2 years per facility policy.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized pediatric post-surgical acute care setting during night shifts on a travel contract basis.
