Schedule

  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (08:00 - 16:30)
  • Visits per day: Approximately 6
  • Weekend work: Not required
  • Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for this shift

Job Description

  • Provide occupational therapy services in a home health setting

    • Cardiac Rehabilitation
    • Edema Massage
    • Electrical Stimulation
    • Feeding Techniques
    • TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
    • Ultrasound
    • Arthritis program
    • Hand Injury
    • Hip Fracture and Total Hip Replacement
    • Soft Tissue Injuries
    • Knee Injuries and Total Knee Replacement
    • Above and Below Knee Prosthetics
    • Dynamic, Functional, Orthoplast, Serial/Inhibitory, and Static Splints
    • Upper extremity prosthetics

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • First-time travel therapists accepted
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Pending state license accepted
  • Must have a valid driver's license (government-issued ID required)
  • Ability to provide primary source verification of professional license (Missouri licenses verifiable on NURSYS)
  • IV Certification required if licensed as LPN/LVN in Missouri (not applicable here but noted for reference)
  • Must pass criminal background checks and meet all compliance requirements
  • Must complete required competency exams and unit-specific skills checklists
  • Must provide two professional references (supervisors preferred)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date required
  • Drug testing within 1 year of start date required and must remain valid throughout assignment
  • Required immunizations and health documentation:
    • Negative TB test or equivalent within 1 year
    • Tdap vaccine or declination
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
  • Must complete facility-specific compliance education and policies prior to start (HIPAA, hand hygiene, dress code, confidentiality, latex allergy questionnaire, etc.)
  • Must submit photo for badge (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
  • Employment application required
