Shift
- Day or night, 3x12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Rotating day/night schedules may be assigned based on department needs
Unit Overview
- Mixed-acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients
- High-acuity patient population
- Approximate staffing ratio: 1:4–5
- Weekend shifts are variable
Key Responsibilities
- Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology experience
- Previous travel experience
Clinical Notes
- Pediatric experience is not required
- Chemotherapy competence is not required for the unit

Pros
Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
