Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel/Contract)
Location: Pomona, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Overview
- Work in the Observation Unit with some weekend shifts required.
- Strict dress code: No facial hair, acrylic nails, or unnatural hair color. Tattoos must be covered. Only earrings allowed are those that do not extend beyond the earlobe or hoop earrings. No visible facial or nose piercings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California.
- Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Certifications & Competencies
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam annually (minimum 80% score).
- Competency Exam annually (minimum 80% score).
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment; verify with unit-specific requirements.
Background & Screening Requirements
- Background check covering last 7 years, including:
- Social Security address check covering last 15 years
- National criminal search with all aliases
- Sex offender search
- Education verification
- International searches if applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start.
- Medi-Cal Exclusion Search within 30 days prior to start (California specific).
- Complete 15 years of work history on application, including locations and any time off.

- Provide 2 professional references, including one from most recent experience (manager, supervisor, Charge RN, or HR).

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.
Cons
DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
