Work Schedule

• Day shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Call required: 6-9 days per month with 36 hours total call coverage

  • Call shifts include 4-9 hour days plus 24-hour on-call periods
  • Weekday call: 5:15 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend call: 24 hours each day

Job Description

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite performing invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures including:

  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations
  • Stent implants, IABP, Impella, EKOS, Rotablator, IVUS, FFR, Penumbra, Pericardiocentesis, Shockwave, IVC filters
  • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and cardioversions
  • TAVRs and MitraClips in conjunction with hybrid OR
• Common patient diagnoses: Coronary Artery Disease, Myocardial Infarction, Unstable Angina, Aortic/Mitral Valve Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease
• Float to another campus as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
