Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Shift: Nights
Contract length: 13 weeks
Employment type: Temp

Role Summary

Provides labor and delivery care for women during childbirth, including monitoring mother and baby, coaching mothers, assisting physicians, preparing families for birth, and supporting breastfeeding after delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

  • Travel experience

Unit Details

  • Birthing center averages 200 births per month
  • Patient ratios:
    • 2:1 during labor
    • 1:1 for delivery or C-section
    • 2:1 for epidurals and IV Pitocin
