Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Location: Camarillo, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a travel contract position. The role involves working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with assignments tailored to specific needs.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shifts: 8-hour shifts, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (some variation 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Tues-Sat)
• Weekend Requirement: Must work either every Saturday or every Sunday
• Holidays: Work on holidays with permanent staff rotation (usually one major and one minor holiday)
• Uniform: Polo shirt provided; wear khakis or black pants
• Settings:

  • Inpatient: General inpatient, rehab, OR sub-acute (including vented and long-term patients)
  • Outpatient: Orthopedics, sports medicine, neuro, pediatrics, lymphedema program
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation lasting 3 shifts

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Rehab: Spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, some orthopedic cases, no ventilated patients
• General Inpatient: Orthopedic, general medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, cardiac
• Sub-acute: Ventilated patients, long-term care patients
• Outpatient: Orthopedics, sports medicine, neuro, pediatrics, lymphedema

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
• Active California Occupational Therapy License
• BLS Certification required
• Preferred: Experience with swallow studies (rare specialty certification for OT)

• EMR system used: Cerner
• 24/7 Pharmacy available onsite
