Registered Nurse — High Acuity Float Pool

Location

• Seattle, Washington

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling
• 3 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday shifts required

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of ICU experience
• Prior floating experience
• EPIC experience
• Ability to titrate drips

Unit Details

• Float pool includes critical care, observation, med surg, general surgery, ortho surgery, short stay surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, telemetry, and progressive care
• Typical patient mix includes medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1-2, with up to 3 depending on acuity
• RN reads telemetry strips
• Common respiratory support includes vents, high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP

Additional Information

• Parking is at the traveler’s expense
• Royal blue scrubs required
