Cath Lab Technologist – Bakersfield, California

Position Details

Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
Shift: Days
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Location: Bakersfield, CA

Job Description

Work in a STEMI receiving facility performing cardiac, coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology (IR), and neuro intervention procedures.
Cases are performed with a team of two techs (one scrubs, one monitors hemodynamics).
An RN provides conscious sedation; occasionally a fourth team member (RN or tech) may assist.
Five procedure suites: 2 for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral, 1 for vascular & neuro, 1 for electrophysiology (EP).
Average caseload ranges from 10 to 22 cases per day.
Rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases approximately once per week.
Weekend call approximately one weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning), subject to change.

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT
BLS
Fluoroscopy
Current cath lab experience
Comfort with conscious sedation
Comfort with moderate sedation
Airway management
Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors
Experience with balloon pumps

Additional Information

First-time travel Cath Lab Techs are welcome.
Agency provides radiation badge for travelers.
