Respiratory Therapist Traveler

Overview

• Contract role in St Johnsbury, Vermont
• Night shift: 7p - 7a
• 36 hours per week
• Sole Respiratory Therapist in the hospital during the night shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Vermont
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience in acute care, critical care, and emergency care

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services including oxygen therapy, aerosol and humidity therapy, nebulizer treatments, mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, airway management, chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas collection, pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, resuscitation support, and patient education
• Perform and support cardiac stress tests, Holter monitoring, ECGs, EEGs, and other cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures
• Maintain respiratory and diagnostic equipment readiness
• Document treatments, procedures, patient responses, and test results
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality practices

• Local housing resources are available, but travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
• Reliable personal transportation is essential
