Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

Facility Requirements

• Certifications:

  • Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association; RQI certifications will not be accepted).
• Licensure:

  • Must have a Kentucky RN license.
• Experience:

  • Must have recent ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Flexibility:

  • Candidate must be willing to float to Tele/LTAC depending on census.
  • Candidate may be required to float to Kindred Louisville Jewish.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
