Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:00 PM)
Job Description
The Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides delegated direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include:
- Making clinical decisions based on education, experience, and nursing regulations
- Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
- Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
- Delegating patient care priorities according to staff education and experience
- Supervising assigned personnel delivering patient care
Aspects of care may include:
- Physical examination and data collection
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Patient education
- Medication administration
- Peripheral IV therapy
- Discharge planning
- Implementation of physician’s orders and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Mississippi
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- Immediate start date (ASAP)
- Travel assignment with a 13-week duration
- Day shift hours from approximately 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM
