Unit: Surgery
Number of Beds: 10
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Staffing includes manager, board runner, holding nurse, surgical attendants, anesthesia tech
Equipment used: Hana bed, DaVinci XI (2 units), MAKO, Velys hip & knee systems
Documentation system: Meditech
Operating hours: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM (elective cases)
Call shifts:
- Weekdays: 2 first call and 2 second call shifts
- Weekends: 1 weekend per month, 48-hour call
- Call hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (first call), 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (second call)
Average cases per day: 25-35
Procedures: Orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT
Annual volume: Over 1300 total joint surgeries, 550 DaVinci robot cases

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Schedule & Hours

36 hours per week
Call required as described above

Additional Information

Must provide own scrubs
Work-friendly environment with advanced surgical technology (MAKO, Velys hip & knee, DaVinci XI)
No floating policy
Unit staffed with support personnel to assist nursing staff
