Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Neurology

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Neuro/Ortho/Trauma
Unit: 26-bed unit focused on neurosurgical patients
Shift Options: 7 PM - 7:30 AM or 7 AM - 7:30 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As needed
EMR System: Epic

Patient Population

Neurosurgical patients including spinal surgery, spine fractures, brain tumors
Seizure disorders
VP shunts
Head bleeds
Traumatic injuries
Joint replacement surgery

Staffing Ratios

Day shift: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Night shift: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum 2 years of experience in neurology or neurosurgical nursing
Neuro/neurosurgical experience required
No specific certifications required beyond RN license
EPIC EMR experience needed

Desired Attributes

Proactive team player with a positive attitude
Professional appearance required (scrub color flexible)
