Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Description

Cardiac Medical Unit (42-bed) focused on Cardiac Telemetry
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Patient population includes cardiac patients (chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, arrhythmias), medical patients (pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, stroke), and occasional surgical patients
Nurses must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Schedule & Hours

36 or 48 hours per week
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required

Education & Licensure Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
NURSYS registration required

Certifications

AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years nursing experience overall
At least 1 year experience in Med Surg Telemetry specialty
Candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license may be considered

Dress code: Solid navy scrubs

Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals
