Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse I-IV) coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age of the patient population on a general med-surg unit. The role ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards and organizational goals. The nurse demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS Certification (from AHA) required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty (Med Surg)
- Special Skills:
- Knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
- Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
- Clear and age-appropriate communication skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours due to emergencies or schedule changes
- Physical demands include prolonged standing/walking, heavy lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination

- Prior travel experience is not specified as required
This position is a backfill replacement and offers an opportunity to work in a supportive med-surg environment during night shifts.
