Travel RN Opportunity - Texas (Marshall)

Position Details

Job Summary

• Practice independently in a similar clinical setting.
• Provide routine and complex nursing care.
• Manage clinical situations by making assignments and delegating to other care providers.
• May float to a nearby facility based on census.
• No on-call required; occasional standby.

Responsibilities

• Meet applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements

Education & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification required.
• RN license in Texas or compact license.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Position Requirements

• New experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by trained staff and complete organizational and MedSurg competency validations.
• Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency or specific orientation program.
• Completion of annual competency verification is required.
