Unit Information

  • Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Number of Staff: 35
  • Day Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs
  • Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, 2 PCTs
  • Patient Ratios: 6:1 with LPN support
  • Equipment Used: Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs
  • EMR System: Meditech

Job Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years in Med Surg specialty
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Preferred Skills

  • Wound Care
  • Burn Care

Typical Procedures

  • Wound and dressing care on post-op burn and flap patients

Work Environment & Culture

  • Best Personality Fit: Team player, positive attitude
  • Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM (Night Shift)

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks
