PCU RN

Role

  • PCU/Stepdown RN in a Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit
  • 3:1 stepdown level in the critical care division

Schedule

  • 12-hour nights
  • Every other weekend
  • Holidays per unit needs
  • Guaranteed work week: 36 or 48

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Rhode Island
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Experience with tracheostomy care
  • Experience with intubation
  • Experience with titratable drips

Unit Details

  • Handles fresh tracheostomies, levophed, some stable intubations, mild sedation, and DKA

Float Scope

  • Traveler will be assigned to a home unit and may be floated up to 3 times per shift
  • Travelers float first under the union contract

Assignment Length

  • 13 weeks
