Job Description
- Provide critical care with experience caring for VADs (Ventricular Assist Devices), ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), and Arterial Lines (Alines)
- Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
- Shift Length: 11.5 hours
- Total Hours per Week: 34.5
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity level
- COVID-19 Vaccination Required (medical declination possible with approval)
- Dress Code: Navy bottom + white top with dark shoes, or all white with white shoes
Position Requirements
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Travel experience or local NYC experience
- Level 1 Trauma Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float to units appropriate for skillset
- New York State RN License in hand
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Certification
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification
- Experience in a large academic/teaching hospital setting required
- Skills checklist matching required skill set
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience
