Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

  • Float pool position covering Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) across two campuses.
  • May also float to acute care units but not to Emergency Department or Inpatient Psychiatry.
  • Floating assignments include PICU, CVICU, NICU, and multispecialty unit.
  • Scheduled every other weekend with a minimum of 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays every 6-week schedule.
  • Orientation includes completion of LMS modules, drug screening, and vaccination requirements.
  • Must maintain BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications throughout the contract.
  • COVID-19 vaccination recommended but not required; flu vaccination required October through April unless exemption approved.
  • Masking required during respiratory virus season if unvaccinated for flu or COVID-19.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 11 weeks

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Additional Information

  • Assignment requires floating between multiple critical care units.
  • Orientation and onboarding must be completed by specified deadlines to avoid start date delays.
  • Drug screening includes a 12-panel test with fentanyl.
  • Flu vaccine required prior to start unless exemption approved.
