Job Description

• Perform respiratory therapy duties requiring physical stamina and dexterity.
• Frequent interaction with patients, care providers, and visitors, requiring clear verbal communication and quick response to alarms and emergencies.
• Operate and manipulate complex respiratory equipment with precision.
• Document patient care and access information using computers frequently.
• Lift and transfer patients, including bending, lifting, and carrying supplies and equipment of varying weights, including heavy items.
• Assist with patient transport and ambulation, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment.
• Navigate crowded and busy environments with equipment and power cords on the floor.
• May need to stand in one place for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and read information and labels accurately.
• Manual dexterity for handling delicate equipment.
• Ability to hear and understand spoken information and alarms quickly, especially in emergencies.
• Full range of movement for patient transfers and supply handling.
• Walking and assisting with patient transport.
