Schedule

  • Variable schedule
  • 9-hour day shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Setting

  • Acute care
  • Some inpatient rehabilitation
  • No outpatient

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Colorado
  • Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
  • Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology or equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience in a medical setting
  • Ability to complete and interpret MBS/VFSS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services to patients
  • Develop and implement speech therapy plans of care
  • Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments, including OASIS assessments when appropriate
  • Communicate with the physician before start of care and as needed
  • Educate team members, patients, and families
  • Document care and submit paperwork accurately and on time

Preferred Skills

  • FEES training is preferred but not required
