Clinical Polysomnographic Technician
Location
- Binghamton, New York
Schedule
- Night shift
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid Polysomnographer license in New York
- Polysomnographer (1 year of experience)
- Polysomnographer experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or HSI or American Red Cross
- RPSGT
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in sleep medicine
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient information and verify study orders
- Explain setup and testing protocols to patients or caregivers
- Set up and perform sleep studies according to policy and AASM guidelines
- Monitor patients during studies and take appropriate action to obtain required sleep/wake data
- Perform titration and split-night studies
- Score studies according to AASM scoring manual guidelines
- Complete inter-score reliability monthly
- Notify clinical leadership of adverse changes or unusual situations during sleep studies
- Assist in training new personnel
