Job Opportunity: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Tyndall, South Dakota
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Contract Length: Approximately 14 weeks (99 days ≈ 14 weeks)

Job Summary

Provide care to assigned residents in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner according to location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans. Administer medications and treatments following nursing standards of practice and update care plans as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents.
• Comply with all related laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Supervise assigned employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving problems.
• Maintain effective communication in English, both orally and in writing.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs and moving/positioning self as required.
• Foster a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current LPN license valid for practice in South Dakota.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 3 months of long-term care (LTC) experience in an LPN role.
• Basic nursing skills and knowledge of medication effects and side effects.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend effectively.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Moderate noise level.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• May require travel based on business needs.
