Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Summary

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care.
• Serve as a resource person as needed.
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care.
• Responsible for care of patients from birth to elderly.
• Supervise Psychiatric Technicians on duty.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, with psychiatric experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in supervisory roles, including supervising Psychiatric Technicians.

Additional Information

• All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.

Specialty Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
