Registered Nurse

Location: Big Sky, Montana
Employment Type: Contract (14 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, Thursday through Sunday
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient and family education.
• Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Provide leadership and contribute to professional development within nursing practice.
• Promote health and safety, integrate ethical provisions, and apply research findings in practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of Urgent Care nursing experience, including experience within the last year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pre-hospital settings such as Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, or Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
• Experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care clinical environments.
• Experience in outpatient or walk-in clinic settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise tact and discretion.

Schedule Requirements

• Regular and sustained attendance required.
• May work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours.
• On-call duties may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Repeated standing, walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
• Occasional sitting for extended periods.
• Rare climbing of ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity.
• Ability to handle exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.

Additional Information

• Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered.
• The facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
