Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Correctional Medicine

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide direct nursing care to assigned inmates/patients (adolescent through adult) in a correctional facility housing approximately 1,300-2,000 inmates.
Work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Deliver nursing services within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the healthcare system.

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio (required).
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
Preferred: One year of clinical nursing experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Correctional healthcare setting.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
