Diagnostic Imaging Technologist (CT/X-Ray) - Contract Position
Location: Big Sky, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
- Perform high-quality CT and X-Ray exams independently to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
- Support both outpatient and inpatient settings with a variable schedule.
- Shift pattern: 8 days on, 6 days off.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent with documented competencies in Radiology and CT.
- Montana Radiologic Technologist licensure.
- ARRT advanced certification in CT (must currently have CT Certification).
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience (this is the required specialty experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related studies.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams as requested by medical staff.
- Operate with limited supervision, maintaining high attention to detail and reliability.
- Assist medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as needed.
- Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting.
Schedule Requirements
- Regular and sustained attendance required.
- May work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
- On-call work may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Repeated sitting, standing, walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
- Continuous fine-finger movements and close visual acuity.
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
Additional Information
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
Prior travel experience is not specified or required for this position.
