Respiratory Therapist Travel Assignment - Lehi, Utah

Job Details

• Location: Lehi, Utah (approximately 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day or night shifts available; may require flexible hours including overtime and on-call coverage (6pm-6am every other week)
• Department: Respiratory Therapy (RT)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (preferred)
• Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate and revise therapy plans as needed
• Conduct diagnostic testing including:

  • Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs)
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • Bronchoscopy assistance
  • Pulse oximetry
• Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities
• Provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours as per department/facility policy

Additional Notes

• Must be available for orientation week in-state (even if some modules are remote)
• Valid driver’s license required within a 60-mile radius of the facility
• May be required to work flexible hours beyond standard shifts
