Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC/SNF

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Position in a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF)
• Patient population includes dementia, cardiac, hospice, and post-acute care
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio:

  • Days/evenings: 1:15-19 (one assignment may be ~34 with med aide support)
  • Nights: 1:25-50
• Electronic Medical Record system: PointClickCare (PCC)
• IV therapy performed, but no IV certification required for LPNs
• Weekend and holiday work required every other or every third weekend/holiday depending on assignment
• Shift length options: 10 or 12 hours (typical shift is 8 hours for this role)
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Dakota
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in LTC/SNF specialty
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Charge nurse experience
• Experience with PointClickCare EMR system

Additional Information

• Backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice incur a $500 fee
• Local rates apply within 80 miles or if using employer housing
• No charge differential for shifts at this facility
• Facility size: 80-85 beds
