Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic Radiology) - Evening Shift
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings (1:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour evening shifts per week
- 4-week rotating schedule with one weekend every 4 weeks
- 12 hours of call per month
- Holidays required as needed and scheduled
Job Overview
- Perform fluoroscopy and diagnostic X-rays on inpatients and Emergency Department (ED) patients
- Conduct portable X-rays on patient floors
- Perform C-Arm procedures in the Operating Room (OR)
- Float between Emergency Department and Diagnostic Radiology departments
- Responsible for a portion of portable X-rays on floors
- Work with an average of 20-25 patients per shift in the ED
- No support staff available except on floors
Equipment and Systems
- Radiology rooms, portable X-ray machines, C-Arms, R/F units
- IT systems including McKesson PACS, Centricity RIS, and EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Nebraska
- Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT (R))
- Operating Room (OR) experience
Additional Information
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
- Call-off policy allows up to 36 hours off every 13 weeks
- Strict 100-mile radius restriction; local candidates will not be accepted
- Dress code: Red scrubs provided, plus hospital scrubs for surgery
- Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and departmental on-the-job training
- Candidate must be a self-starter, adaptable, and have strong team skills
Important Candidate Considerations
- Must be comfortable floating between Emergency Department and Diagnostic Radiology
- Proficiency in trauma imaging, portable X-rays, fluoroscopy, and C-Arm procedures expected
- Must disclose any required time off during assignment upfront
- Prior work at this facility within the past 12 months (travel or permanent) must be disclosed
