Sterile Processing Technician

Location

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 8-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Call is required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • CRCST certification from IAHCSMM
  • BLS certification

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect vendor instruments before wrapping and sterilization
  • Handle planning, ordering, special-order inventory management, documentation, and patient charge reconciliation
  • Maintain adherence to clinical, regulatory, and industry standards for inventory, prioritization, maintenance, documentation, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Perform sterile processing functions for General Surgery, Pediatrics, ENT, Urology, and Orthopedics

Additional Information

  • Primary assignment is SPD
  • Training and orientation are provided by SPD staff
  • Surgical attire is required
