Location
- Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Shift
- Days, 12-hour shifts
Unit Details
- Progressive care unit with 28 beds
- Typical patient population includes adults with mixed medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
- Telemetry monitoring is used on the unit, and nurses must be able to read and interpret rhythms
- Nurses are expected to titrate drips
- Floating may be required to Med/Surg and, depending on ability, ICU and ED
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Driver’s license required at submittal
Schedule Expectations
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff
- First week is classroom orientation, followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts
Additional Considerations
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
- Candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
- RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
- There is a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation, and a score of 90% is required to continue
