Interventional Radiology RN
Role Overview
- Interventional Radiology RN
- Unit: IR - RN
- 2 IR suites; neuro shares a hybrid room with cath lab
- About 8 cases per day on average
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of IR experience
- Neuro experience, including strokes and carotids
- Nurse sedation experience
- Experience with IV insertion
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
Duties
- Pre-op, intra-op, and post-op IR procedures
- IV starts
- Nurse sedation
Scheduling and Call
- Call is optional
- Weeknight call: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
- Holiday call: call only
- Call response time: 30 minutes
Floating
- May float to pain management for pre/post care one time per week with separate orientation
Orientation
- 2 to 3 shifts of orientation
Additional Notes
- Hospital-provided scrubs are available on the shelf
- Shoes stay at work
- Epic and Phillips are used
