Role Summary

CVOR Tech needed for an OR setting with CVOR vascular cases, including CABG cases in the CVOR.

Required Qualifications

  • CVOR Technologist with 3 years of experience
  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • CST
  • Experience in an acute care setting
  • Experience with orthopedic total joint cases (first scrub)
  • Experience with cesarean section cases
  • Experience with CVOR vascular cases including femoral popliteal, cut downs, hybrid cases with cath lab, stents, and fistulas
  • Experience with CABG (coronary artery bypass graft) cases
  • Surgical Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel experience
  • High preference for ortho total joints first scrub

Schedule

  • Days, Monday-Friday
  • Shift times may be 0630-1500 or 9-530 for totals

Call Requirements

  • CST call: 6-7 call shifts per month, including one weekend
  • CST CVOR call: 15-16 shifts per month, including every other weekend
  • Call response time: CST 20 minutes; CST CVOR 30 minutes

Additional Details

  • 7 OR suites
  • Average 15-24 cases per day
  • Common cases include heavy ortho, GYN/C-sections, urology, spine, ENT, GI, and general
  • No robotics
  • Floating: none
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Orientation includes half a day with HR and 3-4 days on the unit with a tech
  • RTO is not accepted for the CVOR CST role
