MRI Technologist

Overview

• 13-week contract in Omaha, Nebraska.
• Day shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, 7a–7:30p.
• This role covers maternity leaves, with an estimated start in mid-to-late June.
• Department: Radiology - MRI.
• 3 scanners/rooms: Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T.
• Floating is limited to MRI only.
• Average volume is 35–40 scans/studies per day.

Required Qualifications

• BLS.
• Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR).
• ARRT.
• Trauma Level I experience.
• Driver’s license required at submittal and used to determine whether the candidate is outside the 50-mile radius.
• Must not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Schedule / On-Call

• Weekend, holiday, and call/standby coverage are required.

Clinical Duties

• Performs MRI studies including cardiac, breast, and some angio.
• Starts IVs.

Work Environment / Policies

• Siemens equipment.
• EPIC and McKesson are used.
• In-house radiologist during the day; resident at night.
• Gray scrubs; scrubs are not provided.
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments, and refusal to remove them can lead to termination of the contract.

Orientation

• 1 week of training with a flexible schedule.
