Overview
- 13-week contract
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- Strong Neuro skills
- Negative drug screen for all panels
- Last four digits of SSN
- Middle initial
- Requested time off
Unit Details
- 29 beds
- Ratios: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
- Common patient types include Neuro, Neurosurgery, Amputations, multi-trauma, Cardiac, and complex medical patients with trachs but no vents
- Tele is available, but RN does not read strips
- RN is required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab
- No charge nurses; house supervisors are present
- Nurse aides are present at a 1:9/10 ratio
- PT/OT/ST services are on the unit
- Respiratory support includes CPAP/Bipap only at night for sleep apnea, nasal cannula, and high-flow nasal cannula without heated high flow
Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation every other holiday
- No call or standby
Floating
- May float to LTAC and med-surg
- Will not float to HAU unless trained
Orientation
- 2 days of class orientation
- 2 to 3 days/nights with a preceptor
- Training includes QRP and specific rehab documentation

- Any color scrubs allowed
- No t-shirts unless approved
