Travel CST/ORT Position - Florida (Hudson)

Job Details

• Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Location: Hudson, Florida
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Information

• Level II Trauma Center
• 12-suite Operating Room, including 2 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs)
• Staffing: 2 CVORs staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs on day shift; night shift is on-call
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience (higher value between 1 and 5 years applied)
• Main OR experience with willingness to float to main OR
• Certifications: BLS and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Nurses who also scrub
• RNs with Meditech experience

Typical Procedures

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) / Valve Replacement
• Thoracic and Vascular surgeries

Work Schedule & Expectations

• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
