Position Details
- Specialty: Rehab/Neuro RN
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every third weekend, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Call Requirements: None
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Unit: TBI-CVA (Traumatic Brain Injury - Cerebrovascular Accident)
- Floor: 7th Floor
- Number of Beds: 28
- Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 1:6
- Night Shift: 1:8
- Patient Population: Spinal cord injury and brain injury patients
- Equipment Used:
- Tube feeding
- Ventilators
- Tracheostomy care
- Alaris IV pumps
- Hoyer lifts
- Kangaroo pumps
- Negative pressure wound therapy
- Suction devices
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner and ITW
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years
- Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Skills:
- Must have: Tracheostomy care and G-tube management
- Preferred: Medical-Surgical experience
- Float: Must be willing to float to other units within the facility
Personality & Dress Code
- Personality Fit: Compassionate, good communicator, willing to educate patients and families, self-learner
- Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrubs only; hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and any attire outside the uniform are not allowed
This position offers the opportunity to work in a nationally recognized rehabilitation hospital specializing in acute care and rehab for complex neurological conditions.
