Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department RN
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Shifts: 10 per contract
• Call Requirements: None specified
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)
• Trauma Level: III

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NRP
• TNCC

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: 5 years in specialty (Emergency Department)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Skills & Responsibilities

• Management of dysrhythmias
• Blood product administration
• Phlebotomy
• Starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation
• IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• Care for CVA, ortho-trauma, head injury patients
• Isolation precautions
• Triage
• Use of Cerner EHR system

Preferred Experience

• Critical Access hospital experience
• NIH and NRP certifications

Additional Information

• Must be flexible to work days, mids, and nights; schedule varies without set number of days per shift
• Equipment used includes Level I infuser and telestroke technology
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
