Travel RN - Med Surg

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Med/Surg, Oncology, Neuro, Palliative Care
Shift: Night
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every third weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Float when needed
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Unit Beds: 41
Equipment: Alaris IV pumps
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Oncology, Neurology, and Palliative Care
BLS certification
Skills:
- IV insertion
- Foley catheter insertion
- Nasogastric tube (NGT) placement

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Med/Surg patient care

Unit & Patient Population

Patients with medical-surgical, oncology, neurological, and palliative care needs

Work Environment & Culture

Personality fit: Displays the 4 Cs — commitment, curiosity, communication, connection
Dress code: Navy scrubs; fleece is not acceptable attire
