Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Brunswick, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: ECHO (Echocardiography)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Between two campuses (locations within the region)
• Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer in ECHO
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must have skills/experience in:

  • Stress ECHO
  • Transesophageal echocardiography
  • Transthoracic echocardiography

Preferred Qualifications

• IV skills preferred but not required

Unit & Work Environment

• Community hospital setting
• Equipment used: Philips EPIQ ultrasound system
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
• Patient load: Ability to perform 6-7 patients per day
• Team environment with emphasis on high teamwork and positive attitude

Dress Code

• Scrubs of any color allowed
• No unacceptable attire specified

Additional Notes

• No weekend hours required
• No call responsibilities
• Float between two nearby campuses within the region
