Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Conroe, Texas

Job Overview

• Float between inpatient rehab and acute care units as needed.
• Work in a facility with approximately 230-280 hospital beds and a 24-bed inpatient rehab unit.
• Unit includes 13 full-time staff: 9 PTs, 5 PTAs, plus PRN and shared staff.
• Patient load: 7-8 evaluations per therapist in acute care, 4-5 in inpatient rehab.
• Use various standard acute and rehab physical therapy equipment.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of recent experience in the physical therapy field within the last year.
• Must hold a valid PT license.
• BLS certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care (preferably 1 year, but not mandatory).
• Experience in inpatient rehab, NICU, ICU.
• Willingness to float between acute care and inpatient rehab units.

Typical Procedures

• Patient evaluations and treatments in both acute and rehab settings.

Work Environment & Culture

• Scrub color: Navy blue required.
• Comprehensive Stroke Center and Trauma Level II accredited facility.
• Treat a wide variety of patient types including NICU, ICU, Med/Surg, Ortho, and inpatient rehab.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
